Open call - Business plan competititon for green businesses
The Municipality of Gazi Baba and YES Foundation have announced an open call for business plan competition, in order to support three start-up companies, with a focus on the environment.
The candidates and the start-up companies based in the Municipality of Gazi Baba who have expressed interest in participating in the competition, should meet the following criteria:
1. Applicants must be between 18 to 40 – Candidates should submit a photocopy of ID card
2. Micro and small start-up companies not older than 3 years – Candidates have to deliver their Current status not older than 30 days from the day of delivery
3. To use the award, the newly established start-ups must be located in the Municipality of Gazi Baba - they have to deliver their Current Status after the registration
4. The Business ideas or the innovative solutions have to be focused on the environment – Candidates should apply by briefly explaining their ideas
5. Key areas: waste management, water management, forestry and agriculture, urban environment, climate change, etc.
All of the candidates will have the opportunity to be part of the acceleration program for green businesses implemented by YES Foundation. The acceleration program includes:
• Trainings and workshops about circular economy, environmental politics, implementing concepts of circular economy, budgeting and intellectual property.
• Mentorship by experts in the field.
• Event organized by the PSM Foundation in which the candidates’ ideas will be presented.
The candidates with best ideas can win a prize of 200 000 MKD, and on top of that, the start-ups will have an access to:
• Fully equipped office for a whole year
• Free company registration in the Municipality of Gazi Baba
• Acceleration program for green businesses
• Continuous support and mentorship
• Professional help in writing applications or preparing presentations for investors
• Networking
• Promotion

• ID card copy
• Current Status no older than 30 days (if submitted by a start-up)
• After the registration of the start-up, the candidates have to deliver their Current Status (after the competition)
